Deane is a small Hampshire village, located in an enviable rural position at the start of the river Test close to the west of Basingstoke, and close to the villages of North Waltham and Overton. Within the village is a church and a country restaurant and at North Waltham there is a highly regarded primary school along with a shop and a pub. The property

The gardens lie the rear of the cottage and provide a charming setting, fully enclosed by a combination of hedging and fencing and backing onto open farmland. Largely level and laid primarily to lawn a Gabriel Ash cedar greenhouse and small vegetable patch provide additional interest.
