Situation

4 Fishers Field is situated on the edge of the lovely Bourne valley of St Mary Bourne, a delightful village with everyday amenities including a Church, three public houses, sub Post Office and shop, primary school and a health centre. Both Andover, to the south, and Newbury, to the north, offer a more comprehensive range of facilities, which include indoor shopping centres and main line railway station with London connections (Waterloo and Paddington within one hour). The neighbouring town of Whitchurch, approximately 2 miles distant, also offers a range of everyday shopping facilities, Banks and a main line railway station. The surrounding rolling countryside is particularly well known for its natural beauty, sporting facilities, walks and rides.

The property

4 Fishers Field is a terraced house in an elevated position on the edge of the village which is in a poor decorative order and which now requires a comprehensive modernisation programme, but which has the potential to become a comfortable family home.

The property is actually approached from the rear, so the main door opens to the rear hall, off which is a store and the cloakroom, The kitchen faces the front and has a butlers sink and solid fuel cooker. The sitting room has French doors opening to the rear garden and a log burning stove. The hall has the old ‘front’ door opening to the rear garden and the staircase rises and turns to the first floor.

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms and the bathroom.

Outside

To the front, there is dedicated parking for one car and a slightly terraced garden, and a brick store to one side of the entrance door. To the rear the garden enjoys a southerly aspect. Both gardens need attention.
