The Property

Sherfield Court is the historic manor house for Sherfield on Loddon and once formed part of the Duke of Wellington’s Stratfield Saye estate, and Moat Cottage, built in the early 20th Century was once the servants wing of the main house. It is Grade II Listed and single storey and has a conical thatched roof at either end. The property has been greatly improved by the current owners.

The front door opens to a spacious reception hall which has a log burning stove and a large picture window overlooking the moat. To one side is the dining room with conservatory off, beyond which is the kitchen/breakfast room. This is comprehensively fitted and has a larder. To the other side of the hall is the cloakroom and the study/bedroom 4, and beyond this is the dual aspect sitting room with bi-fold doors opening to the rear terrace. The bedroom wing houses the three bedrooms, one with a refitted en-suite shower room, the largest bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with large windows to front and rear, and the refitted family bathroom. There is a further store, accessed from outside.
