Situation

Dukes Ride is a quiet residential street close to the heart of Silchester, a popular village located on the Hampshire/Berkshire borders. The village itself has facilities including a primary school, public house and church, whilst more day to day facilities are available in the nearby town of Tadley. More extensive leisure, recreational and educational facilities are available in the nearby towns of Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke, are within a short drive, and consequently the property is well located for access to both the Paddington and Waterloo lines and the M3 and M4 motorways.
The village itself is the site of the Roman town Calleva Atrebatum and is surrounded by delightful heathland and woods with extensive walks available through Pamber Forest and over Silchester Common and the Englefield Estate.

The Property

23Dukes Ride is a detached family home which has been substantially extended to now offer well- proportioned five-bedroom accommodation, in excellent order throughout, extending to about 2013 sq.ft. yet still offering scope for further extension.

The sitting room is particularly spacious with a picture window overlooking the front garden and has a flame effect gas fire, whilst the more modest dining room has a glazed door opening to the rear garden and has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is fully fitted and overlooks the rear garden. In addition, there is a study, a utility toom with a larder, a cloakroom. There is also a useful room adjoining the garage. Currently used as a workshop this could make a lovely sun room, play room or hobbies room...or a room to meet clients??

On the first floor the master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there are four further double bedrooms and the family bathroom.
